The short version

  • Your number is not for sale. It is never sold, and never shared with anyone for promotional or marketing purposes.

  • You are texting one organization. Each church or ministry runs its own program on its own number. Moe Media operates the platform on its behalf, and information is never shared between ministries.

  • Only what the conversation needs. Your mobile number, your name if you give it, the messages you exchange, and a record of the consent you gave.

  • STOP always works. Reply STOP to any message and the texts end; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

  • Kept while the account is active. Messages and consent records stay available to the organization you contacted. Removal requests are handled through it, or through Moe Media.

Who this policy covers

Moe Media (“Moe Media,” “we,” or “us”) operates Moe Media Messages, a text messaging platform used by churches and ministries. This policy describes how information is collected, used, and protected in connection with text messaging on this platform — both messages sent from Moe Media’s own number and messages sent by each ministry from its own number.

Each ministry using this platform operates its own messaging program on its own phone number, with its own contacts and its own message history. Moe Media acts as that ministry’s service provider. Information is never shared between ministries.

Information we collect

When you opt in to a messaging program on this platform, we collect your mobile phone number, your name (if you provide it), and the content of messages you exchange with the organization you contacted — for example a prayer request or an interest in serving.

The consent record

We also record evidence of your consent: the exact disclosure text shown to you at the moment you agreed, the date and time you agreed, and the IP address and browser user agent of the submission. This record exists so consent can be demonstrated if it is ever questioned.

How your information is used

Your information is used solely to communicate with you for the purposes of the program you opted in to — responding to prayer requests, coordinating serving opportunities, confirming check-ins, and sending occasional informational updates from that organization — and to operate and support the platform itself.

No sale, no sharing for marketing

Our commitment

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We share information only with the service providers that operate the platform on our behalf — our SMS carrier and our hosting and database providers — and only to the extent necessary to deliver and store your messages.

Stopping messages

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive one confirmation and no further texts from that organization. For help, reply HELP. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

How long information is kept

Messages and consent records are retained for as long as the organization maintains its account, so that the conversation history and the proof of consent remain available to it. Removal requests are handled through the organization you contacted, or through the contact below.
